An injury to one is an injury to all

This is the January 23, 2025 edition of our twice-weekly newsletter about labor movement news in the DC region. Sign up to get our newsletters delivered straight to your inbox.

Immigrant rights are workers’ rights, and any effort to exploit and attack immigrant workers creates a race to the bottom for all of us.

The DC and Maryland labor movement remains in proud solidarity with immigrant workers and families in our region. We will continue to fight to ensure that all workers—regardless of immigration status—are protected at work and at home.

DC Migrant Solidarity Mutual Aid has information and resources for how everyone can actively support and protect immigrant workers and families here in DC, Maryland, and Virginia.

In addition, throughout January and February AFL-CIO is hosting weekly Frontline Solidarity trainings every Monday at 3 PM. Join a training to get an overview of their fight-back toolkit for union activists and organizers.

We know this administration will attempt to keep us divided and apart, because that's how they win. Solidarity is our power. Build it with us at one or more of the upcoming events below.

Dr. King's legacy is a reminder that the rights of workers are integral to the fight for dignity and justice for all people.
