2024 Endorsements

On June 4, voters in DC will have the opportunity to vote for two champions for working families and workers' rights on the DC Council. The Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO is proud to endorse Janeese Lewis George for DC Council Ward 4, and Robert White for DC Councilmember At-Large.

MARYLAND

The deadline to register to vote or update your voter registration information is October 18, 2022 for the Gubernatorial General Election. To register to vote or to check your registration status, click here. Your voter registration must be up to date with your current address. To update your voter registration, click here.

EARLY VOTING
Early voting will be held for 8 days and begin on Thursday, October 27, 2022 through Thursday, November 3, 2022 from 7 am until 8 pm for the Gubernatorial General Election. You can vote early at any early voting center in the county you live in.
Request a Mail-in Ballot (must be received by November 1, 2022 for the Gubernatorial General Election)

VIRGINIA

Deadline to register to vote, or update an existing registration: October 17, 2022 (Voters may register after this date, through Election Day, and vote using a provisional ballot).

EARLY VOTING
First day of in-person early voting at your local registrar's office: Friday, September 23, 2022.

Deadline to apply for a ballot to be mailed to you: October 28, 2022. Your request must be received by your local voter registration office by 5:00 p.m.
The last day of in-person early voting at your local voter registration office: Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 5:00 p.m.

DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA

DC Primary 2024
The primary election will be held on June 4, 2024. Voters who are registered in DC with a political party will be able to vote in the nominations for President; Delegate to the U.S. House of Representatives; DC Councilmember for Wards 2, 4, 7, 8, and At-Large; and U.S. Senator (non-voting) and U.S. Representative (non-voting).

Early voting for the June primary
DC Board of Elections will mail each registered DC voter a mail-in ballot starting on April 29, 2024. To ensure that you receive your mail-in ballot at the correct address, it is critical that you check your voter registration and update your information if necessary.

Voters may also return their voted mail-in ballot via USPS — must be postmarked by November 8 and received by the Board of Elections no later than November 15 — or in person at any Vote Center during the Early Voting period or on Election Day.
