SEIU joins AFL-CIO to build unprecedented worker power, win unions for all people

The AFL-CIO and the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) announced last week that they are reuniting to launch a new, long-term effort to make it easier for workers to win a voice on our jobs with their unions. Two million SEIU service and care workers will join the nearly 13 million-member AFL-CIO, and together, these powerful organizations will push back on union-busting and win for working families. Frontline Solidarity: A Mass Deportation Fight-Back Toolkit

Under the leadership of the Executive Council Committee on Immigration, the AFL-CIO has developed a proactive strategy to prepare for potential attacks on immigrant workers under the coming administration. "Frontline Solidarity: A Mass Deportation Fight-Back Toolkit for Union Activists and Organizers" focuses on preparing for aspects of the mass deportation agenda that will most directly impact the workforce and the workplace. In addition, AFL-CIO's immigration team will be offering weekly toolkit overview trainings on Mondays at 3 PM ET throughout January and February.
