Endorsements for U.S. Senate and House of Representatives

Maryland and DC deserve representatives in Congress who will fight for union members and all working people in our region.

In partnership with the Metropolitan Baltimore AFL-CIO and allied unions across Maryland, the unified Maryland State and DC AFL-CIO endorses the following candidates for U.S. Senate and House of Representatives:

"From advocating for the right to collective bargaining, for fair wages and safe working conditions to championing healthcare and retirement security, these candidates recognize the challenges faced by working people and are dedicated to creating a more equitable society,” said Donna S. Edwards, president of the Maryland State and DC AFL-CIO.

In addition to these leaders for Congress, the AFL-CIO endorses President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris for re-election in 2024.

“There’s absolutely no question that Joe Biden is the most pro-union president in our lifetimes,” said AFL-CIO President Liz Shuler said in June. "We’ve never seen a president more forcefully advocate for workers’ fundamental right to join a union. Now, it’s time to finish the job."
