At the Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO's regular meeting of Delegates on Monday, October 21, 2024, the Executive Board and Delegates approved the recommendations of the DC Committee on Political Education (COPE) for endorsements in DC's November 2024 general election.

These candidates recognize the challenges faced by working people and are dedicated to creating a more equitable society.

The Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO is proud to announce our endorsements of the following DC candidates in the June 4 primary

On August 23, 2022 and September 2, 2022, The Committee on Political Education (COPE) of the Maryland State and DC AFL-CIO endorsed the following candidates for the 2022 General Elections in Maryland and DC.

“We must elect officials who are not afraid to publicly support labor unions and champion legislation for working men and women that protects and lifts the quality of life for the people who work in the District.”
